Miss Joie Miranda, guidance designate of Malvar Senior High School conducts a school roll out of the national curriculum guide in homeroom guidance to make classroom advisers aware of how they could handle and assist learners despite distance classroom scenario, Sept. 18.
This webinar which transpired via Google Meet was participated in by 33 class advisers with four master teachers and subject teachers.
It was a four-part session which primarily focused on the nature of homeroom guidance and its importance to the learners who are adolescents. It offered guidelines on how class advisers would deliver the content while ensuring that learners are being led to the development of their personality and full potential.
Towards the end, a consensus was made as advisers agreed to use a one-hour time slot every Wednesday for homeroom guidance. And similar to the subjects enrolled by learners, it will also be given using printed and non-printed learning modality.
An open forum was conducted after the session to address all the concerns the advisers had.
