“From Empty Seats to Cozy Retreats: Celebrating the Success of PatikaRun 3.0”

Updated: Apr 12, 2023

In a remarkable display of generosity and community spirit, the officers of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Malvar Senior High School have recently organized the “Patikarun” project. The initiative aimed to raise fund for the benefit of the school and its students, particularly in improving their learning environment.

The PTA officers, led by their president Ms. Analiza Garing, started the Patikarun 3.0 project to raise funds for their school. Through their hard work and dedication, they were able to raise enough money to purchase brand new chairs for their students, and the painting of fences.

As a result, the PTAs officers were proud to announce the turnoff new chairs to the school administration last March 3, 2023. The turnover ceremony was attended by school’s administration headed by Mrs. Rosalie L. Liwanag, master teachers, and selected students who all expressed their appreciation for the PTA officers’ efforts. The event was filled with joy and excitement as everyone witnessed the tangible result of the Patikarun 3.0 project.

Mrs. Garing expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported the project, saying that the success of the initiative would not have been possible without the generosity and support of the community. The response of the community, their support and participation to the fundraising project made everything possible. The PTA officers were delighted to see the results of hard work in form of new chairs, newly painted fences, and newly purchased tent.

The school principal, Mrs. Rosalie Liwanag, also thanked the PTA officers for their efforts and for being pro active in addressing the needs of the school. She added that the new chairs will not only benefit the current students but also the future generations of learners.

The turnover of the new chairs was indeed a testament to the power of community and the impact of collective action. As the learners settle into their new chairs, they can be assured that they have the support of their parents, teachers, and the wider community in their pursuit of better education.
