Malvar, Calabarzon, Philippines – On August 5, 2024, teachers at Malvar Senior High School proudly wore Filipiniana attire and barong tagalog during the school’s flag ceremony. This display of traditional dress was part of the school’s celebration of August as the “Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa” (National Language Month), highlighting the rich cultural heritage and unity within the school community.
Jerrold Ramos, Master Teacher II and Head of the Filipino group praised the initiative, saying, “Wearing our traditional attire honors our heritage and sets a positive example for our students.”
The event fostered a sense of national pride and cultural awareness among students and staff, reinforcing the importance of embracing Filipino culture in education.
