To manifest the spirit of sharing and giving back to the community, Malvar SHS conducts its annual gift giving program, Dec. 9.
It is a program which was initiated by the Faculty Association headed by Ms. Imelda G. Silva since 2016.
This year, preparations were spearheaded by the Master Teachers: Mrs. Imelda Silva, Mr. Marvin Saludo and Mrs. Marianne Caraig with the faculty president Mr. Ronald Reano.
A total of Php 57,000.00 was spent for the grocery packages that were distributed to 76 selected Grade 11 and Grade 12 students.
This amount was accumulated through solicitations from private individuals and voluntary contributions from Malvar SHS teaching and non-teaching personnel.
This was what Dr. Jhomar Sor, the school principal, said in his speech about the purpose of conducting such activity.
He further expressed his hope that Malvar SHS graduates will continue the institution’s legacy of giving back to the community and thanked those who have extended their support to the institution.
The program was hosted by Supreme Student Government’s (SSG) Adviser, Engr. Andrade Martirez and Ms. Chawee Edrielyn Bacal.
