Malvar Senior High School faculty, staff, and Grade 11 students joined the 3rd quarter nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill (NSED), Sept.8.
This is in line with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMC) Memorandum No. 132, s. 2022 and was spearheaded by the school's DRR Coordinator, Mr. Dennis M. Castillo.
This activity that aims to instill and enhance disaster preparedness was participated in by a a total of 43 teaching personnel, 5 non-teaching staff, and 1028 Grade 11 students.
As soon as the bell rang at 9:00 o'clock in the morning, Malvar SHS faculty, staff, and students performed duck, cover, and hold.
Shortly after that, students while being guided by their teachers went down Buildings A and B according to the school's evaluation plan.
They were led and asked to stay in the oval racing track outside the school. After determining the number of students per class, they were allowed to go back to their respective classes.
After the activity, there were 14 students who fell ill and were admitted in the school clinic.
