Malvar, Philippines – July 25, 2024 – The roof of the handwashing station at Malvar Senior High School was completely torn down by strong rains on July 25, 2024. The heavy downpour, accompanied by an orange warning from PAGASA, caused significant damage to the structure.
In response to the incident, a cleanup operation was promptly organized. Leading the efforts were Anthony Buno, the Faculty President, along with male teachers and the Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Leslie Reyes. Their swift action ensured that the area was cleared of debris and made safe for students and staff.
Despite the extensive damage, with the roof being completely torn down, there are plans to rebuild the handwashing station in the near future. The school community remains committed to restoring this essential facility as soon as possible.
