The local government unit of Malvar through its mayor, Hon. Cristeta Cuevas-Reyes, distributes laptops to teaching and non-teaching personnel in the district, July 7.
The initiative was made possible through the collaborative and consultative efforts of Mayor Reyes, the Sangguniang Bayan of Malvar with Hon. Bong Kalaw as Committee on Education Chairperson, and the Public Schools District Supervisors, Dr. Leo Landicho and Dr. Gina Lacsamana to recognize the hard work and to motivate DepEd personnel in Malvar District to continue their untiring service despite numerous challenges brought about by the pandemic and the imminent danger of Taal Volcano.
Four hundred twenty-five teaching and non-teaching personnel received a brand new MSI Modern 14 B11M-092LA Premium Ultrabook during the scheduled distribution at Malvar Central School.
Forty-eight of these teaching and non-teaching personnel were from Malvar Senior High School.
With this kind of support that they are receiving, the teaching and non-teaching personnel express their appreciation and gratitude.
"We are very thankful for this initiative of our local government unit. It is a big help for us, especially nowadays that most of our work happens online and highly depends on our laptops," said Jenelyn Lucero, a faculty member of Malvar SHS and one of the recipients.
