The municipality of Malvar conducted Mathematics and Science incentive examinations for qualified Grade 12 students at Malvar Senior High School, April 19.
This exam which was designed to test the participants' knowledge, problem-solving skills, and ability to think critically under pressure was participated in by a total of 985 Grade 12 students from different strands of the Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood tracks. Each test was composed of 30 items that are multiple choice.
Immediately after the tests, the class advisers who also served as the proctors checked the students’ answer sheets and identified the top three high-scoring students per class. Then from among the list, the top 5 students who would receive Php 5,000.00 each were determined.
The following students were the recipient of the incentive for the Math and Science exams: 1. Deniel Cyril Maya-48/60; 2 & 3. Rumel Marco Banjo Serrano and Cristy Oconer-47/60; 4 & 5. John Lennard Areño and Mark Bryan Sagulo-46/60.
This annual event, anticipated by students and faculty alike, provides a platform for budding scientists and mathematicians to demonstrate their prowess and compete against their peers in a friendly yet competitive environment.
